Before getting to savasana (corpse pose), in many of my yoga classes, my teacher will tell us to hug your knees tightly into your chest/to roll up into the smallest ball you can (almost to the point of being able to kiss your forehead to your knees), and at this time, my teacher will usually say something along the lines of: “give yourself the biggest hug – for making it to class, to thank/to be grateful for yourself/your effort/your body, for just being here, etc.” This month, I had been struggling with grounding myself throughout my classes and throughout life, feeling a bit all over the place, etc. And honestly, I really wasn’t sure what it was that I needed. Last night, I had the urge to reread some of @dollyalderton’s Everythijg I know about love (pic 5), and this little passage (along with probably 100+ more passages that had me smiling, laughing, and/or crying) was the exact thing I needed.
