Welcome to Ink Grade, an exquisitely designed space that opened its doors earlier this year just south of downtown St Helena. Serving as an introduction to their Howell Mountain Estate wines, the Pavilion offers one of the most unique wine tasting experiences in Napa Valley, SENSES by Ink Grade. While guided through a tasting of their estate wines, guests who book the SENSES experience are privy to an immersive projected video on all four walls of the room, virtually transporting them to the vineyards and winery on Howell Mountain. Think the Van Gogh exhibit with wine tasting! ‌ Their estate vineyards are on the east side of Howell Mtn and are certified organic and biodynamically farmed with a winemaking style that is not heavy-handed, and you can taste it in the wines. Some of the grapes were previously used by Heitz Cellars in their Napa Valley Cabernet until the current owners decided to shine a light on this estate. Thus, Ink Grade Wines were born. The current releases we tasted were Sauvignon Blanc, a Zinfandel dominant blend, Merlot, a Cabernet blend, and a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Keeping with the art theme, each bottle’s label pays homage to the unique nature of California, with the original pieces displayed in the Pavilion.
