Seven years ago today, I made a choice that changed [& saved] my life. • I had bariatric surgery. A lot of people say “that’s the easy way out” and it really used to bother me. Now, I could care less what people think about it. At the end of the day, I’m living my life in a body that I’m comfortable in. A body that regardless of anyones opinions, I worked hard for. • You don’t have surgery & just wake up thin. That’s not even the POINT of weight loss surgery. The point is…to help you live a life free of the obstacles of obesity. I think all bodies are beautiful no matter the size. I’m most comfortable at this size. • Even seven years later, I make choices every single day to help maintain my weight. I still have to watch what I eat or I’ll gain weight like anyone else could. But. Im very grateful for this head start. • Nearly a decade later & im still 150 pounds down. Which. Is what I weigh now. So I lost all entire person my size from my body. It’s amazing all the things I don’t hold myself back from anymore.
