Growing up, @cathaypacific was the airline we travelled on several times a year to visit our family between HK and Taiwan. Now that we’re based in Vancouver, Cathay Pacific has become our go-to airline for our visits to Asia. Last week, I had the opportunity to visit the newly reopened Cathay Pacific Lounge at Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Located between departure gates D70 and D71, this gorgeous new space offers a unique pre-flight experience. Designed by the talented London-based firm, Studioilse, the lounge is an epitome of luxury and comfort, oozing an understated elegance. With comfortable seating near panoramic windows, I was admiring the spectacular views of the runway while daydreaming about our next trip in October. What makes it extra special is the food, especially the signature Noodle Bar, offering made-to-order noodles like Dan Dan Noodles, Wonton Soup noodles, and dim sum. This oasis amidst the bustle of the airport truly reflects what Cathay Pacific stands for - an unwavering commitment to customer experience. Thrilled to be one of the first to experience this gem.
