Finally sat down and put some of my bar exam costs together for y’all… Let me start by saying how grateful I am for the amazing support system at my law school. Before I started 2L summer (aka: actually made some money from my summer job!!) our Associate Dean of Students sent out an email with a bunch of costs we should prepare for 3L year, graduation, and even the bar exam. That helped me get a good idea of how much I should be saving over the summer and what costs to prepare for the upcoming year. SO in that spirit, I wanted to give y’all an idea of how expensive taking the bar exam can get. Good news is, I’m also sharing a few tricks I used to save money. But no matter what, the expenses are gonna add up so get aware and start planning! One of the biggest ways you can save money is buying your bar prep course. As y’all know, I’m a huge Themis fan. I repped for them, I used them for the MPRE, and also used them for the bar exam. They only have one package that includes access to EVERYTHING on the platform & it is cheaper. To. Buy. Sooner!!! I can’t tell you how many law students spent thousands of dollars in April/May when they could’ve spent half of that if they’d bought their course sooner. So if you take anything away from this post - don’t forget to buy your bar prep course sooner 3L year rather than later, it can save you big bucks!!! ••• #lawyer #lawstudent #lawschool #barexam #barprep
