Leibermuster! Today we want to show you some of the most rare pictures of World War Two: Issued Leibermuster “M45” clothes in use by the Wehrmacht! The pictures (1-3) show scenes that were photographed in the course of a large surrender of Wehrmacht forces in Bohemia, Czechia in spring 1945. Unfortunately the unit is not certainly known. Note the soldiers don‘t bear arms anymore as they’ve already surrendered. As mentioned, interesting are the Soldiers that are dressed in Leibermuster clothes. The Leibermuster (only German camouflage pattern from the war time which‘s official name is known) was developed by Professor J. G. O. Schick which also developed other Flecktarn-like patterns, before and during World War Two. The pattern was intended to be introduced within the whole German Army, being designed to have multiple advantages: It was able to camouflage evenly during all seasons. Also it was capable of hiding soldiers from detection through first-gen night vision devices (NVD).
