I’ve found it 🙌 🕵️‍♀️At the moment we have a lot of decisions to make regarding how things are being made. There are quite a lot of things we are reinstating here at the house to take it back towards how it looked in its 1800s hay day. And the windows are a big part of this. During this time some of the windows have been completely changed twice since this period. It’s taken ages for me to track down this one image in a clear format, but I’ve got it and I’m so so so happy. This first image shows the small window above the front porch clearly and it is made up of 12 small pains of glass. Currently we have a lot of large plain glass windows which were changed around the 70s. I also had an account from the lady’s I spoke too last year who stayed in that room during WWII who said the windows opened differently to allow the children staying here to slide down the porch roof in the event of fire. After a lot of research I found an image to match up with that account, but other than a grainy picture from approx 1860 I had nothing that showed this window 😩. But I’ve now got it, I managed to track down an image which shows this window.
