🇺🇦 🇺🇸 The realities of guerrilla medicine. —- What do you do when a conventional force military (Russia in this case) uses the resources of their entire military to attack Ukrainian civilian population centers? You have to move your medical infrastructure underground and into buildings of opportunity. Not only does your medical infrastructure need to be rapidly mobile and resilient, your personnel need to be talented enough to be able to operate for extended periods of time with limited resources and still be able to affect good patient outcomes. Think prolonged field care, but the entire spectrum of trauma care from basic triage to damage control surgery. The ability to sustain your medical operations, team and patients for extended periods of time is key.
