Warm morning light and fresh spring colour pouring into the studio… I couldn’t be happier to see all of my favourite flowers filling up this room again. This is my season, my favourite time of year… when the wattle ends and everlastings begin… 🌸🌼🌸🌼 The very first paper daisies to appear were the ‘splendid’ and ‘pink clustered’ daisies and so they were used in my latest wedding wreaths that you can see hung up along the windows here… mixed with colourful strawflowers and nestled into a bed of fresh cress from the front yard garden beds. I really love the way these cheerful beauties turned out, they will be hung on a wedding arbour and I hope the bride is as thrilled with them as I am. What Ella’s up to – So I filled up a little copper teapot with water for her so that she could fill some bottles with fresh water and fresh daisy stems, but instead - she has filled up her dried flower petal bottles up with the water. 😆 I found some little corks for her as well so now they really look like bottles of magic flower potion. I’ve mentioned this before but I really find it so special that my kids don’t really see the difference between dried flowers and fresh flowers and I just love that. I often find dried stems in water and fresh stems in no water, and fresh and dried are often mixed together.✨✨ More spring flower magic coming soon! Hope you are well.
