It’s great to be back on the ice. I recently had my first Mixed Doubles event of the season. Although I love being on the ice, what made this event special was the fact that I had the privilege of sharing the ice with none other than my partner in life, @brent.laing.99. Curling alongside Brent brought a sense of synergy that's hard to put into words. The rhythm of the game and unspoken understanding between us came together, and I was reminded of the strong partnership we've cultivated on and off the ice. Reflecting on my first event of the season, I'm grateful for curling as more than a game—it's a journey, a passion, and a connection that transcends the sport itself. The love of curling isn't found in winning, but in the moments and comradery shared with teammates on the ice. And when that teammate is also your life partner, the experience takes on an added layer of significance.
