There are dogs living in crates that are lining the hallways. Staff and volunteers say that these poor animals are only out of their cages for two short potty breaks every day. That’s more than 23 hours in a cage every day!! 💔🐕 An @LAanimalservices animal control officer of 16 years spoke at the Animal Services Commission Meeting last week and asked the commissioners to come look at her shelter. She said they are understaffed, overcrowded, and something has to be done. Mayor Karen Bass (@MayorOfLA), PLEASE HELP! This is an invitation to come on @KTLAweekendam to talk about the problem and the SOLUTION. 🙏 These animals are suffeWe need city funded spay and neuter programs and we need to educate the public more.
