“Beauty is only skin deep.” How much can we know someone from the face they present to the world? And do our faces, our skins, tell the story of who we are and what we have been through? Join us to explore the themes of trauma, healing and change. This event will feature a shibari performance by Petite Pretzel and KinkNamePending, who will be performing a rope suspension as part of a larger performance exploring the themes of trauma, healing and growth. During the suspension, tattooist Carou Chiarelli will be tattooing over KinkNamePending’s scars from a previous abusive relationship. The performance will be accompanied by evocative audio by Child + the banned that dives deeply into hard-won knowledge, growth and strength. All profits will go to Samaritans, who provide a 24/7 crisis helpline that supports people when they need it most. Tickets are £20, and there is an option to donate if you are not able to come along on the night.
