What an epic weekend. I’m still in full tears! I took my mom to Vegas to the Beyoncé concert for her 65th birthday—and to our complete surprise, my babeboy opened for Beyoncé —both shows on the Vegas stop of her Renaissance World Tour! Not only that, there isn’t an opening act every tour stop—there haven’t been many BUT he’s the only DJ in the US to have opened for her TWICE. He’s also featured today on Beyoncé.com PROUD is an understatement!! This is such a MAJOR accomplishment and platform, with one of the biggest artists of our time, and definitely on the most impactful tour. I am so very proud of him and ecstatic that he is finding his way in the world. To see your child that you’ve sacrificed life for perform on a world stage is an extremely surreal experience. Like this isn’t just anybody, this is the kid that I made and pushed out of my coochacha!! 🤣I won’t even pretend to act like I raised him on my own—His dad and I had our village. Like no telling where we all would be without his grandmas—However, I also won’t pretend like I didn’t move him to a different state and work 2 jobs, 7 days a week for years once his dad went away, to curate and keep him in an environment that would be conducive to developing him, and helping him get to where he needed to be with experiences that we could not provide him. A presidential scholarship to Pace University in NYC which ultimately lead him down the path that he is on today. Extremely smart with an amazing moral compass. So very mannerable and respectful. So well spoken and articulate. I’m so extremely grateful and thankful to GOD and I pray that he continue to uplift, protect, cover, guide, shield and bless my babeboy! I know his Grammy is up in heaven ELATED and in GOD’s ear. May he become everything that GOD intends for him to be 🙏💙🙌🏾 #ProudMama #BoyMom #RWT
