• Axer/Desaxer • L'opera Axer/Desaxer è un’installazione site-specific che caratterizza l’ingresso del Madre, con cui si vuole dare una prospettiva visiva del tutto innovativa, quasi come se i visitatori fossero abbracciati dalla struttura al loro arrivo. Per ottenere questo effetto, Daniel Buren ha utilizzato superfici colorate, specchi e delle righe di 8,7 cm, creando una contiguità tra l'esterno e l'interno. Attraverso questo peculiare disegno architettonico, si cerca di far "ruotare" il museo, consentendogli di allinearsi con Via Settembrini. L'artista incoraggia, così, il sentimento di appartenenza che ogni persona dovrebbe sentire verso le opere e i musei. In questo modo si accresce il legame tra l’artista, l’opera e il luogo in cui è concepita. . The work Axer/Desaxer is a site-specific installation that characterises the entrance to the museum, with which it is intended to give a completely new visual perspective, almost as if visitors were embraced by the structure as they arrive. To achieve this effect, Daniel Buren used coloured surfaces, mirrors and 8.7 cm stripes, creating a contiguity between the outside and the inside. Through this peculiar architectural design, an attempt is made to 'rotate' the museum, allowing it to align with Via Settembrini. The artist thus encourages the feeling of belonging that every person should feel towards works and museums.
