I have been struggling to find the words to explain how happy the garden is making me right now. 🥰 So, I take a million photos of it to channel my happiness, but then the flowers just keep blooming and blooming and the overwhelming joy continues! 🥳🌸💕 My insta grid is about to really turn pink! This flower pot, for example, is an absolute dream come true. I’ve been keeping a close eye on it since Ella and I layered the bulbs, seedlings and seeds together one day in early June… swipe to go back to when we planted! 🪴 Here is something to remember… 🌸🌸Bulbs and native daisies go together.🌸🌸 You can use any bulbs that you love, and then over the top of them scatter native daisy seeds, such as rhodanthe. This works really well for several reasons: 1. These daisies love pots 2. Both bulbs and the daisy seeds need to go in during autumn/winter - a good way to remember to sow! 3. The daisies have tiny roots and don’t ask for much 4. The bulbs/ foliage offers support for the daisies, which tend to flop I am especially thrilled with a couple of little gems here that I have never seen before – a pink version of the ‘pom pom’ daisy (Cephalipetrum drummondii) if you can see it – it is smaller but has a beautiful blush colour. And just spilling over the edge perfectly is Lindley’s everlasting (Lawrencella rosea) – a tiny stunner with soft silvery pink colour and a perfect daisy shape. I can’t wait to show you more!
