Space exploration continues to shine like the Sun! 🌞🚀 India has just reached the South Pole of the Moon with Chandrayaan-3 and today, a new mission is heading towards our blazing star. Saturday , September 2, 2023  The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has announced the successful launch of the "Aditya-L1" mission, which represents India's first effort to reveal the mysteries of the Sun: "Aditya-L1 will be India's first mission to unravel new mysteries about the Sun". The mission was successfully launched today aboard the PSLV-C57 rocket(in XL configuration) from the Satish Dhawan Space Center at Sriharikota in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh.  •Aditya L1 mission's scientific payloads simplified: The Visible Emission Lines Coronagraph (VELC) investigates the solar corona and the dynamics of coronal mass ejections. The Solar Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (SUIT) payload scans the solar disc in near ultraviolet light and detects fluctuations in solar irradiance. The Aditya Solar Wind Particle Experiment (ASPEX) and Plasma analyzer package for Aditya (PAPA) payloads investigate the solar wind and energetic ions, as well as their energy distributions. The solar low energy X ray spectrometer (SoLEXS) and the high energy L1 orbiting X ray spectrometer, HELIOS, analyzes X ray flares from the Sun over a wide energy range.
