What a gift to be running in these mountains. Though the legs weren’t as fast as I’d hoped for, this years CCC did not disappoint. The goal going in was to run a patient race, focusing on timing splits and seeing how the body held out. All was going to plan for a while then as can be expected in these alpine epics the screw slowly started tightening, cramps came and went and the gears got slower. The support on the trails here is like nothing else. So much positivity throughout the day from hikers, villagers, supporters, team mates and fellow runners from across the world. I feel grateful to be a part of such a spectacular sport. A huge congratulations to anyone that toed the line at this weeks @utmbmontblanc events. Thank you to my team @hoka_eu for your support. To @christopher_rainsford for getting me through the day, and keeping me focused and on my feet to the finish line!
