Ik ben inmiddels een paar keer op IJsland geweest. En ik heb enorm genoten. Het waren hele bijzondere reizen. Maar elke keer dat ik op IJsland was, was ik er voor andere redenen dan mijn eigen fotografie. Ik was een aantal keren een fotoreis aan het begeleiden en vorig jaar was ik er natuurlijk ook voor de finale van Het Perfecte Plaatje. En hoe leuk en speciaal het iedere keer ook was, nu wordt het tijd om terug te gaan voor mezelf. En dus gaan Mirjam en ik in oktober terug. De vlucht is geboekt en de auto en accommodaties gehuurd. Een reis zonder vast schema of een vaste planning. Zelf bepalen hoe lang en waar je naar toe gaat en je laten leiden door het licht. Ik kijk er enorm naar uit. Laat oktober maar komen! I have been to Iceland a few times now. And I enjoyed it immensely. They were very special trips. But every time I was in Iceland I was there for reasons other than my own photography. I was guiding a photo tour a number of times and last year I was of course also there for the finale of Het Perfecte Plaatje. And as fun and special as it was every time, now it's time to go back for myself. And so Mirjam and I are going back in October. The flight is booked and the car and accommodations rented. A trip without a fixed schedule or planning. Decide for yourself how long and where you go and let the light guide you. I'm really looking forward to it. Bring on October!
