“Milk officially came in a few days ago ✨ I decided to continue to breastfeed Onyx & of course Arrow. & this time around I’m doing my best to collect & build our freezer milk stash. I didn’t share a lot about my breastfeeding journey once I got pregnant again because it was so stressful! Around 5 months of being pregnant my milk supply dropped significantly & I was forced to figure out how to supplement. Luckily I was able to get breast milk from an amazing mama friend & after a couple of months we figured out a formula that worked for Onyx. Finding a formula was the most stressful part. We went through a few & finally was able to find one that worked for him, that didn’t make him breakout in hives. The mom guilt was at an all time high. I didn’t expect to stop breastfeeding so soon. Although I did keep comfort/dry nursing him throughout the entire pregnancy. When we were going through that my biggest regret was not building a stash when my milk was abundant & not regulated to onyx yet… I love using the @haakaausa ladybug to collect milk throughout the day when I’m not nursing the babies. & using it to catch the letdown on the opposite side when I am nursing.
