“Once considered an underground gathering for the artists, creatives, free spirits of all stripes, and people counter culture. Burning Man has since evolved into a destination for social media influencers, celebrities and the Silicon Valley elite. ~ Based in 10 principles founded in 2004, crafted to reflect the community’s ethos and culture, it looks as though the festival has reneged on those principles, that growing it and making sure it happen was the priority rather than to live through their organically induced commandments. ~ I see this festival as one amongst the many, a gathering that started with all of the altruistic, transformative intentions and inventions that a modern societies thinkers could think. The dreamers dream, a light in the darkness where all the illusions of the false society would burn away, and what would be revealed is the REAL reality, the one where all of our needs are met, and all desires satiated. ~ So where is this eventually headed, Ah I see, it is a new beginning for the exploration of the Neo-human, the more “highly evolved” species, and the eventual discovery of a utopia. Shaped by all the material gains and faux spirituality that a consumer culture could muster, a revolutionary stance to say that resources are not finite, there is more to be had, infinitely, always more, always there. ~ This is already been the spell cast, what our imperial societies have been doing and has taught every citizen to do, whether you are a burner or not.
