NASA'S Parker Solar Probe . ☆ Did You Know ? After the recent and exciting launch of the Indian Probe ISRO's Aditya-L1, we would like to remind you: On Aug. 11th 2018, NASA launched the Parker Solar Probe. It is the first-ever mission to " touch " the Sun. The probe is about the size of a small car. NASA's Parker Solar Probe has made history after becoming the first spacecraft to plunge into the upper Sun's atmosphere, the Corona. The milestone journey was made on 28 April 2021, nearly three years after the probe's launch. On June 23rd, 2023, it completed its 16th orbit around the sun, and on June 22nd, it approached up to only 8.5 million km On August 21st, 2023, it made yet another and very useful approach to Venus, only 4000 km from the surface, for then use the planet as gravitational slingshot to return to the sun NASA's "Parker Solar Probe", as others famous spacecrafts , for example Solar Dynamics Observatory SDO, Solar and Heliospheric Observatory SOHO, Solar Orbiter SOLO , STEREO and Ulysses will study the Sun to help us better understand the Sun.
