🤰🏽40 + 3 🤰🏽 ✨I’ve never believed in due dates, always been one to allow my body listen intuitively and this time round feeling the confidence to say yes and no to certain things ✨This post might be controversial but I believe the medical system is rushing women to give birth and where I’ve worked with paediatric patients, I do have to question if babies are being forced out a lot sooner than they are ready for ✨Certain health issues babies are presenting with and labours that have heavy intervention is no surprise to me that the two are very much interlinked ✨The knowledge I have gained by working with paediatric patients has given me the push to say no to a-lot of things during this pregnancy and I will be very open to discussing these topics and how it’s all linked with the post partum period ✨I have nothing against intervention, WHEN it’s necessary but putting women through unnecessary inductions is often a cascade of then rushing labour or ending the inductions half way due to “failure to progress” ✨I’m open minded about how my birth will go and being a #csection mama first time, I have nothing against this either.
