Our little family ventured ~30km (in and out) to a very scenic alpine lake to catch some good sized cutthroat trout this long weekend. We circumnavigated the large lake on our rafts and had a great time during our 3-night stay on the lake edge. On night two I started to get a bit of an itch, which kept me up a lot of the night. The next morning we realized how bad it was. The itch was driving me crazy and the only thing we had that would provide any relief was an injectable form of diphenhydramine (antihistamine). Overcoming my hate hate and fear of needles, I asked Ian to inject me. It settled it for a few hours. We don’t know what caused the reaction, but scroll through to my last pic to see a snippet of what was over MY ENTIRE BODY.
