Cutest travellers or what? 🥹🥰✈️ I always get questions when I share about Minnie and Lara travelling with me in cabin so I thought I’d share some tips/experiences/reminders in the next few posts. Let’s start with these that came to my mind first: ✈️ Find out which airlines allow pets in cabin. I’ve used Finnair, Air France, Brussels Airlines and Ita Airways. Even fewer airlines allow 2 dogs in same bag for one person so something to check too if you have 2 dogs! ✈️ Make sure you have approved pet travel bag - each airline annoyingly has their own rules for the size.. How I deal with this is having quite a soft bag so even if the bag is slightly bigger than allowed it goes ”down” if needed to fit under the seat (hope that makes sense haha). ✈️ My girls have their own EU pet passports (we got ours from Finland where I’m from). If you travel regularly in EU, you can try get one even if you live in Uk. For EU citizens it is definitely easier and you’ll likely need address in that country that you can give the vet. From what I have heard rules differ between countries and vets so there isn’t simple guidance to give. ✈️ A few countries like Finland and Uk require tapewarm treatment which needs to be given and officially documented by your vet so always google ”pet travel requirements - x country” before travelling! ✈️ Book the pet place on plane - usually each flight has maximum number of pets allowed, eg for Finnair it’s 2 so book early!
