Bugatti T59 1934 King Leopold lll. Class win at the wonderful Concours of Elegance, Hampton Court. This T59 was born as a grand prix car. It achieved some good results but turned into a sports car and with Jean-Pierre Wimille at the wheel, it way simply unbeatable. The fastest sports car of it‘s time! For selling it to King Leopold lll. of Belgium, the car was painted black and a yellow stripe was added. But Bugatti made a cheap job just overpainting the racing blue. Now the blue comes through everywhere. We wonder if the Belgium Royal Family still has the receipt to claim the guarantee at Molsheim… What an amazing weekend! The diversity of cars was beautiful and made each car stand out much more. The venue is simply breathtaking. The palace is extraordinary and the park is spectacular. Great fun is the inclusion of younger enthusiasts with the „30 under 30“ class and the kids race around the pond. Huge thank you to the sponsors, especially A.
