Donating hair is the best way to support people with cancer. It's both easy and rewarding and anyone can do so. WHY SHOULD YOU DONATE YOUR HAIR? •By hair donation, you are not only helping others, but you are bringing yourself a feeling of satisfaction and inner happiness. WHERE CAN YOU DONATE HAIR FOR PEOPLE WITH CANCER? •Many organization's and hair donation charities in India collect hair from people willing to donate and then use hair donations for cancer wigs. I did my hair cut at @b21india. •Hair has to be washed, dried and tied into a plait (braid) with rubber bands at both the ends before cutting. •The minimum length for hair donation is a hair plait of 12 inches. •Hair shorter than that is wasted as it cannot be used for making wigs. •Place the cut plait in a clean ziplock bag and courier it to the given address (I did a speed post through @indiapost_dop) NOTE: At least 6 -7 women’s hair is required to make one wig. The donated hair is sorted according to their quality and then used to make a wig.
