✨ one week Iceland itinerary ✨ Although we highly recommend staying in Iceland longer than a week, we met lots of people there who were only there for a week. Here’s how we’d do it: 👉 day 1: get into Reykjavik. You can take the fly bus directly from the airport to town. Be sure to visit the Hallgrimskirkja church and grab a cinnamon roll at @BraudogCo. Also a great day to visit @skylagooniceland which is conveniently in town 👉 day 2 & 3: drive to Thingvellir National Park and go scuba diving or snorkeling between tectonic plates with @dive.is. Spend some time in the famous golden circle (there’s lots of hot springs to visit here) and drive to Vik. 👉 day 4: visit the Katla ice caves and explore the town of Vik. Be sure to visit the Seljavallalaug hot spring and grab coffee at @skool_beans. 👉 day 5: go to the Westman islands. You have to take a ferry to get there so be sure to book in advance! You can take a tour of the island, visit the largest puffin colony in the world, hike, go to a beluga whale sanctuary and so much more 👉 day 6 & 7: waterfall hop on your drive back to Reykjavik. Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss are on the day. Go to the blue lagoon and if you have time hike to Reykjadalur hot spring.
