A Masterpiece by Noel. Probably one of the best songs he’s ever written this. In and outside of Oasis. I truly mean that. I also think, this is one of Noel’s best live performances. Everything is rock solid. His voice is excellent here. Such talent and a beautiful dynamic to his voice and guitar playing here. Noel portrays the emotion behind the words to such excellence. I feel every word he sings. I also think ‘The Dying of Light’ is a great studio version. But this particular performance showcases what Noel does best. When performing a certain song, he takes it elsewhere when it’s just him and his guitar. He makes the song something you can’t do in a studio. I think this is one of Noel’s best traits as an artist because not a lot of people can do that. This is such a good example of that. Hardcore and beautiful this is. A true reflection of art in motion. The man is a genius. Four chords, a bit of poetry, and boom.
