Iiiiiiit’s showtime 👻 The theme for Inktober 2023 is phobias and I’m beyond excited about it! This subject is super special to me, and if you’ve been following me for a while you may know why. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Back in 2018 I quit my job to work for myself and make art my full-time career. To put it in simpler terms, I was absolutely terrified. I decided to do the Inktober challenge since I had nothing but time, and I wanted to start building my portfolio. I saw a ton of other artists’ making their own prompt lists, so I decided to make my own as well. Appropriately, I chose the theme of phobias since anxiety ruled my life, and I guess this was my way of channeling those emotions 🤪 I didn’t even bother sharing the original list, because I really didn’t think anyone would see them and I had maybe 500 followers at the time. It was the first time since graduating from art school that I felt like I was creating art I really enjoyed, and I felt fulfilled and validated that I was doing the right thing in a time of such uncertainty. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Seriously, if you’ve been following me along on my art journey from the beginning, or even just within the last week, I just want to say thank you. You have no idea how much it means to me to have your support, especially during the times when I tend to disappear off the internet when my mental health takes over 🖤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I thought I’d revisit the series for 2023, and give it another moment to shine and kind of look back at my journey through this career. I’m so so so excited about this series, and I hope you are too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To make all of our lives a little bit easier, I made 2 versions of the list.
