U R B A N 4, Central region of Porto Alegre The project area is located between the Floresta and Marcílio Dias neighborhoods, in the central and former port area of ​​the municipality of Porto Alegre. With a marked historical character, the region experienced its heyday between the 60s and 70s and is currently suffering from deterioration resulting from a series of processes of neglect and abandonment. The consequence of this is seen in the lack of quality public spaces, deteriorated infrastructure and the large amount of vacant and abandoned properties. It is an area of ​​great movement of people, thanks to the connections with the center and other parts of the city, and at the same time it is an area with very little residence for people. Bearing in mind this situation, diagnoses and analyzes relevant to the project exercise to requalify and revitalize this area were carried out. . .
