📖Book Review📖 ❤︎Wonderful Book Wednesday❤︎ Don’t Forget To Write Sara Goodman Confino Genre: Historical Fiction Pub Date: 9/1/23 Loved it! 🫶 Special thanks to @getredprbooks @saraconfino #lakeunion and @amazonpublishing Love, love, love this book! 🧡 I found this book funnier than her sophomore novel but with the same heart, strong female characters, and generational bonds that I feel are becoming Confino’s signature style. Here, the generational bond is 20-year-old Marilyn and her great (spinster) aunt Ada. Marilyn is banished to Ada’s New Jersey shore summer home for making out with the Rabbi’s son in the Rabbi’s office during Shabbat. The relationship that develops between Marilyn and Ada is pure joy! Ada rules dominate the summer, but Marilyn rarely plays by the rules. Often, I threw my head back in laughter at the banter between these two! If we all could have a great aunt like Ada, we might all find our way in life! A few other quick loves: Jewish representation, 1960s Jersey Shore setting, slow burn romance trope, meaningful side characters, and a spectacular ending. I did not want this book to end! I laughed. I cried. I mourned. I cheered.
