Introducing Korea in Ottawa, Canada 🇨🇦🇰🇷 South Korea has so many beautiful things about it. While I have never been to Korea, I have been able to experience many aspects of it in my own city. Immersing myself in Korean experiences includes: - Traditional Style: The hanbok is one of the most recognizable Korean styles, passed down from centuries 👗 - K-Pop: Fun fact about the song I chose for this video is that Jeon Somi is born in Canada, right here in Ontario! 🍁 - Music: Gugak, translating to "national music" highlights the variety of songs, dances, and instruments carried through generations 🪘💃 - Art & History: Cranes were a prominent feature of many Korean art pieces 🕊 - Traditional Treats: Omija-cha which is a delightful magnolia berry tea with peach flowers that touches on all five flavours 🫖🍒 - Ramyeon and Snack: Buldak noodles are a Korean type of ramen that come in so many fun flavours, from carbonara to extra spicy 🍜 - Street Food: Where have K-Dogs been all of my life ?! My favourite are full mozzarella with potato toppings, sprinkled with some sugar for a sweet and savoury snack 🧀🌭 - Traditional Dishes: There are so many well-balanced and flavourful dishes to enjoy, like bibimbap which can be customized with any combo 🥗 - Fusion Food: One of my favourite fusion dishes I made was a beef bulgogi taco with a kimchi slaw 🌮 - Hangul from my students: My students in Korea love sharing their culture with me and are so excited to hear my enthusiasm about K-dramas, Korean food, and more. They can't wait for me to see it in person ✍️ The next step of a dream come true would be making it to Korea! @talktalkkoreacontest has an international event happening given people worldwide the chance to visit Korea!
