Looking for a great local spot to go apple picking this season in New Jersey?🍎🍏 I recommend visiting Eastmont Orchards in Colts Neck, NJ! @eastmontorchards This Monmouth County Orchard has NO admission fee and you pay for what you pick! Also, comment if you think Monmouth County should be considered Central Jersey!😁 Eastmont Orchards currently has peaches, nectarines, and apples for picking.🍑🍎 We started with the Honeycrisp apples which were absolutely delicious. Most of the apple varietals were still closed off when we visited this past weekend, but the other sections will open up soon for picking! I recommend bringing your own reusable bag to carry your picked produce, but they do also sell reusable totes upon entrance for $2 each. 🚜The standard hours for the orchard are 9 AM – 4:30 PM on weekdays and 9 AM – 5:30 PM on Saturday & Sunday. They expect to be open until the end of October! Peach season will end soon, while apple season is just getting started! They also typically do pumpkin picking here in the fall so keep an eye out for that!🎃 Honeycrisp and Gala apples cost $2.29 per pound and you can find specific info on picking throughout the season on their socials/website. Following the apple picking, we did a little peach and nectarine picking which costs $2.79 per pound. These were the largest peaches I have ever seen! The peaches we picked were so incredibly juicy and ripe as well!🍑 Please note that NO pets are allowed at the orchard except for trained service dogs. No backpacks or coolers are permitted.
