🎉 Avantgarde im historischen Gewand – Heute wurde uns von Finanzminister Hartmut Vorjohann und Kultur- und Tourismusministerin Barbara Klepsch das zum „Archiv der Avantgarden – Egidio Marzona“ (ADA) umgebaute historische Blockhaus übergeben. Die historische Fassade des Blockhauses wurde nahezu authentisch restauriert. Das Herz des Gebäudes bildet ein scheinbar freischwebender Kubus in seinem Inneren. Er entstand nach dem kühnen Entwurf des Architekturbüros Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos und nimmt das ADA mit seiner weltweit einmaligen Sammlung auf. An einem der spektakulärsten Standorte Dresdens entsteht jetzt ein Raum der Vision, der Offenheit und Demokratie – ein lebendiger Ort, der in seiner Vielfalt der Sammlung und Nutzung als Forschungsplattform einen neuen Treffpunkt ausmacht. Das ADA enthält eine der umfangreichsten und bedeutendsten Sammlungen von Kunstwerken, Objekten und Dokumenten der künstlerischen Avantgarden des 20. Jahrhunderts. Die Eröffnung ist für den 5. Mai 2024 geplant. 🎉 Avant-garde in historical garb - Today, Minister of Finance Hartmut Vorjohann and Minister of Culture and Tourism Barbara Klepsch handed the historical Blockhaus converted into the "Archive of the Avant-Garde - Egidio Marzona" (ADA) over to us. The historic façade of the Blockhaus was restored almost authentically. The heart of the building is a seemingly free-floating cube inside. It was created according to the bold design of the architectural firm Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos and houses the ADA with its globally unique collection. In one of Dresden's most spectacular locations, a space of vision, openness and democracy is now being created - a lively place that, in its diversity of collection and use as a research platform, constitutes a new meeting place. The ADA contains one of the most extensive and important collections of artworks, objects and documents of the artistic avant-gardes of the 20th century.
