DIAMOND Condominium building on Madison Avenue in Manhattan designed by Karim for @hapinvestments in 2015 is a project developed on a small budget for an eight floor building and 47 apartments. The concept was developed with a faceted truss system that is exposed on the interior so interior and exterior are one. The large south wall can be seen as one drives up Madison hence the triangular treatment was created to break up the large surface and also allow Radom triangular windows (only 10% of the wall could be glazed). The ground floor has a small park offered to the neighborhood as well a colored glass block wall that is the gym and communal area for the building tenants.
