IT'S NOT A CAT BED! Longish vid, had to speed up to include the ending! You all approved of this magnificent cassone yesterday so here is a vid to show all the details! Plus I may or may not have customised it (sorry Mark @campbell.vintage 🫣)! Remember I needed storage? A full on working kitchen such as ours needs to have easy access to bits and pieces so I have, again, controversially, cut something out! The idea is to add a shelf inside to make maximum use of the height, I'll make a curtain and wax the exposed cuts. For now I've just used a Thai sarong that I had but it works well. I also shopped from my garage and used my old plant rail and a pretty hook for towels to dry hands as the sink is right in front. I've given this room a lot of thought and this section is so ergonomic. I felt super guilty with jigsaw in hand and actually apologised to the bride wherever she may now be. As I see it though, it was the unadorned rear and I have now added more love and practicality to it. I'm finding creating my perfectly eclectic kitchen a real joy!
