One year on…🏰🇬🇧🥀: A solemn day of remembrance. A member of the public spotted Prince Harry this morning leaving Windsor Castle, likely visiting his grandparents' resting place before he heads to Germany for the Invictus Games. Today marks the 1-year anniversary of the late Queen's passing. You may recall that after Prince Philip's funeral, he was privately interred in the Royal Vault of St George's Chapel, but this wasn't his final resting place. Instead, when his devoted wife of 73 years, Queen Elizabeth passed, he was moved to King George VI memorial chapel to join her. The Queen and Prince Philip are buried with her parents, King George VI and Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, along with her sister's ashes. As seen in collage I created, their names and birth and death years are inscribed in gold at the top of the slab. A metal Garter Star, the insignia of the Order of the Garter, separates the names. The Order of the Garter is Britain’s most senior order of chivalry and was created by Edward III of England in 1348 🇬🇧👑🌟 Harry & Meghan have never said anything bad about the Queen. Even in the Oprah interview they made it crystal clear - she was the supportive one alongside the late Prince Philip. I must add it’s crazy how the tabloids have tried to twist the Sussexes relationship with the Queen because if anything Meghan and Harry have said nothing but good things about the Queen & Prince Philip. They even Zoom quite often as Harry revealed to James Cordon.
