Now on view at Thaddaeus Ropac Seoul—an exhibition of work by Donald Judd through November 4. Curated by Flavin Judd, it is the first solo presentation of the artist’s work to take place in South Korea for nearly a decade. Retracing more than thirty years of Judd’s work, from the beginning of the 1960s to the beginning of the 1990s, the exhibition gives an insight into the great breadth of his practice, inviting visitors to view his works in light of one another. The exhibition features foundational early paintings alongside a selection of his three-dimensional works and highlights a group of twenty woodcut prints conceived of by Judd while in South Korea in 1991, which are presented in Korea for the first time. A fully illustrated catalogue designed by Flavin Judd with texts by Michael Govan, Jinsang Yoo, as well as a foreword by Flavin Judd and essays by Donald Judd, accompany the exhibition.
