Blue Beetle: Jaime VS. Carapax! In this keyframe beautifully painted by @datrintiart , the goal was to evoke Jaime’s surprise in Khaji Da’s response to stopping an attack from LT. Carapax!!! @angelmanuelsoto wanted it to feel like Jaime was not in control and was just as shocked by his response as Jenny is that he was able to protect her. We talked early on about not having traditional transformations but rather having Jaime “suit up” in pieces and when necessary. Tiago is a masterful painter and storyteller and illustrated all of this to perfection. How excited were we all to see just how accurate the final shot ended up being?!
