If you're competing this weekend, give this a read 😉 Word's from my Dad 🖤 + some golden oldie pics with the man himself ;) A few years ago, when I was doing my first international as a newbie, I was stressing out big time on show day. The usual stuff...Am I lean enough, dry enough, everything enough? 🤣 I called my Dad (he used to compete) and he told me something I now say to myself every show day. It has stuck with me for years and may help you like it did me. So here's the rough version: "Jess love, this is best you've ever felt. You just don't realise it today because you're strssing over minor things. But it's the best you've ever felt in your life. You are in the best shape of your life. You've just put months of work in and sacrifice. Enjoy the day and soak up every bit of this experience. Everyone is looking for a high. People go out drinking, taking drugs and live for the weekends, to try and get just a taste of a high. Well you've got that high today. Today is what you've been working for and no one can get a high like you'll have today. And you can't experience a high like that, without the lows that come with a prep. So soak it up. Every second. It'll be done before you can blink and you'll want to do it all over again."
