A totally unexpected bottle during our Paulée des vins in last October. I am not sure whether this is an old release or a recent one that comes as a “collection” bottle since it’s written “personal réserve from JP Bérêche”. I do not have specific notes for this one but the wine was interesting to taste. A nicely matured Pinot Noir that has probably gone past its peak now since the fruit appears very ripe and sort of fading, and the wine overall has this muddy/rusty character. But still keeps something good with dried herbs and kirsch. The palate is rather fluid and lean, lacks some structure. Quite dry on the finish. This would have been better some 5-8 years ago I assume but still cool to discover this old cuvée from a producer I really like recently.
