🤚🏽Stop canning tomatoes….do THIS instead! 🍅🌽🫑There is too much other work to be done right now while the summer produce is still going strong for some folks. I do can tomatoes in the summertime, don’t misunderstand. But, there is much to be done! Instead of putting up most of my summer tomatoes in jars right now, I put the abundance in the freezer in plastic freezer zipper bags. I don’t blanch them or prepare other than washing and kinda drying them. You can core them if you feel like it. Cut them in half, if you want to. Place them flat in the freezer, in the bags. 🍅 Come ❄️wintertime when you don’t mind heating up your kitchen, just pull out the baggies of tomatoes and core them, if you didn’t already. Process to make tomatoes sauces like basic sauce or pizza and spaghetti sauces. Can as you would in the summertime.
