Today ( September 9, 2023) is the world premiere of LEE at @tiff_net! It doesn’t look like Alex will be attending, but the director Ellen should be there. RG @vanityfair and @vfawardsinsider First Look: Kate Winslet embodies an unsung American icon in ‘Lee.’ Two decades after they first bonded on the set of ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,’ Winslet and filmmaker Ellen Kuras have reunited to bring the story of Lee Miller, a groundbreaking fashion model turned wartime photographer, to the big screen. “For someone who was objectified, to take the step around to the other side of the camera, I was really intrigued by: What is she seeing, what is she looking at, what is her point of view?” Kuras says of her directorial debut. “It was with that same kind of approach that I took to this film.” Read more about the film, which also stars Marion Cotillard, Alexander Skarsgård, and Andy Samberg, at the link in bio.
