Over the moon that my piece ‘he brought it with him’ — commissioned by @neil.hegarty.50 @norahickeymsichili @centreculturelirlandais @noalibispress as part of IMPERMANENCE— airs @rteradio1 tomorrow night at seven pm. Each week features an essay read by its author from Impermanence, a recent anthology of writers from or living in Northern Ireland. Go raibh maith agat, thanks a million to the most excellent folk involved every step of the way and a million thanks to the ever wonderful series producer @cliodhnanianluain who is a joy to work with. To write of impermanence in the very early, foggy, everything-changing days of motherhood was extremely important for me in myriad ways. To think of work and care-giving and love and all the things we pass on, in the moments I feared I would never resurface again, was a gift I will be grateful for always.
