On the way back from #playersclassic I literally had to stop the car halfway home, the car was fine (for a change) but I literally felt like I was melting inside it, literally everything was hot to the touch, and other than getting heat exhaustion one of my concerns was how hot I could see the carbon bonnet was getting. . Speaking with @zircotec over the previous few months I decided that what I really needed was some additional protection that actually worked rather than just looking pretty. I chose their #zircoflex heat protection, which I thought even after speaking with them was going to be another thin foil with promises of heat reduction, how wrong could I be, the application of this is more akin to applying a thin sound deadening matt, which is far better at being shaped into the form that you need than anything I’ve used previously, and has stayed in place compared with the last type I used which fell off after the 1st outing (the underside of the bonnet is rough being pre-preg. Initial results are impressive with the carbon now only being warm to the touch, rather than before worrying it was going to delaminate! .
