"Brass music is an integral part of our culture, which is why we want to preserve and continue it as a cultural asset," says Helmut Unbehauen, Senior Quality Engineer at Voith Turbo in Crailsheim. And that is even though he prefers to play electric guitar in his spare time. But because his heart is attached to #music and his wife has been playing in the brass band for over 20 years, he has been active in the Musikförderverein Musikus in Schnelldorf, Franconia, since the beginning. The association promotes children and young people musically and offers various instruments to learn, from wind instruments to string and keyboard instruments. Musical talents, social interaction, complex thinking, and much more are trained. "Music - with all its positive effects - is socially underestimated. It's worth promoting," he adds. For this reason, Musikus receives financial support from the #VoithCares program. Among other things, the donation is used to subsidize musical instruments and music notation and to support the instrumental training of socially disadvantaged children and young people.
