A pair of concerned neighbours contacted us when they spotted this beaver kit alone on a lawn and struggling to walk after being attacked by a dog. Once admitted, our clinic team began to treat its ailments. Since we didn’t have an age match on-site for this patient, our office team was tasked with finding one at an alternate rehabilitation centre and then arranging a transfer. Beavers are social and form very strong bonds therefore they need to be placed with other members of their species.
