I started walking consistently at the start of this year. At the start I told myself “just 5 minutes”. I’d cut corners just walking round my block but my mentality was “something is better than nothing”. I went angry. I went sad. I went happy. I went mad. I went every single day. Now my goal is 20 minutes of movement every day. One day, I’ll do iron Māori - but for today my goal is just a lil better every day. Stop making crazy commitments to your goals that you can’t keep. 1 thing every day is better than 10 things in one day and then nothing for 2 weeks. So for Te Reo Māori I have decided to implement this as well. I’ve started just finding out what today’s maramataka phase is, every day.
