Images like this steering wheel give you a glimpse of just the kind of people who commuted to the towers. This wheel is on display at the New York State Museum. As just 1 of the many pieces from the aftermath of what was to be know as 9/11. A total of 2,977 people were killed in the 9/11 attacks, People from 78 countries died in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania. At the World Trade Center, 2,763 died, That figure includes 343 firefighters and paramedics, 23 New York City police officers and 37 Port Authority police officers. That day and days after I never saw so many American flags. Gone but not forgotten are those that died but not in vein. Today this will be the only post.
