I am so proud of the inner work that led to me finding the strength to consistently show up for myself this year! People are starting to ask me what I did to “lose the weight,” but I think the more important thing to focus on here is what took place on the inside. On the inside, I stopped making excuses for my habits. I stopped thinking that I could do it by myself and raised my hand for help. I realized that I couldn’t remain isolated and that I couldn’t keep building my life around my own lack of knowledge. I also realized that there wouldn’t be any quick fix! The truth is, I never really understood food and I never really knew what to do at the gym. I used to get discouraged when I saw how long it took people to achieve their goals because I didn’t think I could be consistent. But, instead of staying in that place, I hired a nutritionist, I joined @ww to help track my eating, I joined a gym with personal training and I started changing my mindset little by little. Not only that but, I stayed in therapy to get to the root of my beliefs, I really studied the fruit of the spirit and I realized that my family needed me to show up for myself. I also stopped looking at the future and just decided to be the best me I could for each day. Of course, there’s so much more that went into this but to say it was all in my own strength wouldn’t be the whole story. I legit PRAYED for help and I wanted it more than words. This journey is one that I plan to be on for the rest of my life. I now know that the woman of my dreams exists and she’s me. I can literally do all things through Christ who gives me strength! And, this is just the beginning. I post this for the girls who are trying to tap into who they were called to be. I post this for the girls who don’t have it all together and need to know that it’s okay to ask for help! You weren’t built to do life alone. Find a partner, join a workout program, and/or seek professional help. In your acceptance of your own weakness, you will find so much strength. #6monthstransformation #10monthspostpartum #mom #postpartumjourney #postpartumweightloss #weightloss #transformationchallenge
